OCTOBER, 2025:
We’re excited to announce that our Children's Program has been launched on the island of Brava.
Program Director Sofia Lua and her husband Mingo Lua, along with Eugenia DeJesus and Elcy Pina as program assistants team up together to provide a weekly program for 15-25 children.
Each week the children learn a bible lesson, a life lesson, do arts and crafts and play fun games before they are fed a meal by the team. They have so much fun and don’t want to leave each week! We are praying and believing God that this is just the beginning of a growing and key foundational aspect of what will be accomplished in coming years in children’s lives in Cape Verde.

Our “Mission Home” build-out is complete!
Whether you’re a short or long-term missionary, or a volunteer who wants to help on a short-term or long-term basis, we’ve got a place to accommodate your stay on the island of Brava.
If your vision is in line with the mission of Cape Verde Center of Hope, this is an exciting way to experience the joy of serving others. The community of Lugarinho has friendly and helpful people, and to top it all off, the location and views from the home are spectacular!
